Longtime Vernon Police Department Fleet Mechanic Retires
The man who kept the police cruisers rolling through town for many years was recently honored.

VERNON, CT — In a way, Randy Berriault logged just about as many miles in Vernon as the police vehicles he worked on.
He was indeed the man who kept the fleet going as the Vernon Police Department's longtime mechanic.
Last week, the VPD celebrated his retirement in a ceremony. Berriault was accompanied by family, friends and colleagues.

"We were proud to celebrate Randy," police officials said. "For the past 10 years, Randy has been solely responsible for keeping our fleet in top shape, working behind the scenes to ensure our officers had safe, reliable vehicles to better serve our community. His dedication, professionalism, and mechanical expertise have made a lasting impact on our department."
