The popular bakery and cafe is donating a portion of sales from a new drink to the organization in honor of Bryan Flint Sr.

VERNON/ELLINGTON, CT — A popular Tolland County bakery and cafe has created a new drink in an effort to raise funds for the Cornerstone Foundation in honor of its late director, Bryan Flint Sr.
Flint was killed in a car crash at the age of 61 in May.
LuAnn's, which has two locations in Ellington — at 238 Somers Road and at the Big Y Express at 140 West Road — has created a new beverage/energy drink called "Berry Kind" in honor of Flint.

LuAnn's will be donating $1 from every Berry Kind sold to Cornerstone in memory of Flint, who business pwned said was a "dear friend."
"The Berry Kind Energy Drink is delightful and perfect for those seeking a refreshing and revitalizing pick-me-up throughout the day. It embodies the spirit of kindness and giving, symbolizing LuAnn’s dedication to supporting the local community," Cornerstone officials said.

Cornerstone is a faith-based nonprofit organization located in the Rockville section of Vernon. It hosts homeless shelters, a community kitchen, a food cupboard, a clothing bank and a diaper bank.
"The memory of Bryan lives on through his friends at LuAnn’s and their compassionate gesture of donating a portion of each Berry Kind Energy Drink sale to Cornerstone. Josh, the owner of LuAnn's, has been a steadfast support of Cornerstone, exemplifying the spirit of community collaboration and goodwill," Cornerstone officials said.
"We are humbled and honored to partner with Cornerstone in memory of Bryan Flint," Luann's owner Josh Virkler said. "He was a truly remarkable individual, and we want to honor his legacy by supporting the organization that meant so much to him."
The initiative will run throughout the entire month of August.
