Make Your Own Beneficial Bug at Valley Falls Heritage Center
Heritage Museum Open Sept. 8 for Tours, Nature-themed Craft Project for All Ages

Make your own Beneficial Bug at Valley Falls Heritage Center on Sept. 8. Miss Jan, also known as “The Bug Lady,” will be in the Red Barn from 1-4 pm to talk about beneficial bugs and help visitors decorate paper butterflies and bugs with provided art supplies. All ages are welcome to join in on this fun, educational activity, and tour the six historic farm buildings.
The eight-acre Valley Falls Farm and Heritage Center will be open 1-4 pm, with a guided tour from 2-3 pm. This is the last Sunday open house of the season, where visitors can tour the farm buildings filled with vintage items and interpretive posters that tell the story of the people who lived on the farm in the early to mid-1900s.
Visitors can also purchase Valley Falls posters, t-shirts and notecards (cash or check, please) with all proceeds going to help maintain the property.
