Merry C. Garrett of Tolland, CT earned the nomination of three political parties offering voters real choices. She is running for the State Senate 35th District.

The Democratic Party, Independent Party and Working Families Party endorsed Merry. She will be on 3 locations on the ballot.

"It is an honor to be recognized by so many and to represent a wonderful group of parties. People deserve to have more than one party choice. There is no better way to prove you represent and will represent ALL people than by earning these nominations. Every voter matters to me. I am running for the Connecticut State Senate 35th District seat because in our district our property taxes increased again, but also there were cuts to education and infrastructure needs. Our senior citizens, middle class, young people are trying to make their way and need a break, that means the top 10% need to pay their fair share. We do not need Project 2025 to take us backwards, we want to finally move forward in the district."

The 35th District consists of 13 towns; Ashford, Chaplin, Coventry, Eastford, Ellington, Hampton, Stafford, Thompson, Tolland, Union, Vernon, Willington and Woodstock.
