Oct. 1 Artists Day at Vernon’s Valley Falls Farm
Free community event features art, music, nature and history
Sunday’s weather looks great for the Oct. 1 Artists Day at Valley Falls Farm and Heritage Center! Approximately 15 local artists plan to set up and paint in the Plein Air style. Located at 345 Valley Falls Rd., Vernon, the hillside property offers beautiful views of the landscape and historic farm buildings.
Artists start early, and visitors are welcome from 12-3 pm to talk with the artists as they paint. Artists can sell their paintings from the day, as well as other artwork that they will have on display in the red barn.
All are welcome to stroll the grounds, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a variety of activities at this free community event geared for all ages.

- Local Girl Scouts will provide free refreshments, and Bolton Artist Dorothy Hall will give a 2 pm talk in the white stable about Artificial Intelligence concerns in the Artist community and the importance of keeping your sketch pad handy.
- East Windsor-based band “Oh Brother” will play a mix of folk, country and soft rock from 1-3 pm from the historic red barn and an art area for kids (adults also welcome!) will feature a coloring sheet of the farm for artists if all ages.

- All six buildings that comprise the new Heritage Center will also be open for tours, with Vernon historian Jon Roe providing tours and answering question regarding the history of the Valley Falls area.
All are welcome to stroll the grounds and bring a picnic lunch at this feee event.
- Valley Falls t-shirts, notecards and posters will also be available, with all proceeds going toward supporting and improving the farm. Valley Falls Farm beekeeper Allen Valli will once again have his honey for sale - $11 for a full jar; get $1 back upon return of the jar. Cash or check only, please, for these items, with membership applications also available.
Limited parking in the Red Barn lot; plenty of parking in the lot at Valley Falls Park and walking the short trail to the barn.
