Picture Vernon: Big Cars And A Big Circle In Vernon

VERNON, CT — The latest installment of the Picture Vernon series takes us back more than four decades to a busy spot in town.

The records division of the Vernon police department periodically cleans out its old files and out popped an old black-and-white investigation photo that depicted Vernon Circle when it actually was a circle.

It was taken during an investigation in the spring of 1975.

Vernon Circle is the area near the interchange of Interstate-84 and routes 30 and 83. It's namesake rotary was replaced years ago with the traffic light system currently in use.
