VERNON, CT — The latest installment of the Picture Vernon series takes us to 1972 and a view heading toward Vernon circle.

The McDonald's can be seen in its original design with the flowing golden arches.

The land to the north of the fast food icon was for sale back then. It now features a variety of food establishments and a lube business.
