Picture Vernon — Strong Image At Dusk

VERNON, CT — The latest installment of the Picture Vernon series takes us to the new fence at Strong Family Farm.

The image was captured at about dusk last Thursday from Peterson Road. The farm's yellow barn and adjacent Center Road School are in the background.

The finishing touches of the fence were put on late last month. The post-and-beam fence motif replaces a post-and-wire fence that was on the property for years.

Strong Farm is a state-protected agricultural education center that relies on grants and donations.
