Picture Vernon — When The Circle Was A Circle

VERNON, CT — The latest installment of the Picture Vernon series takes us back to June of 1975 at Vernon Circle.

That's when it was actually a circle. A Ford LTD seems to be leading the pack.

Vernon police furnished the image. It appears to have been taken where the Interstate-84 westbound entrance ramp is now.

The intersection now includes multiple traffic lights involving Route 83, Kelly Road, Route 30 and the Tri-City Plaza. The rotary has been gone for years.
