Girls Soccer
On Friday, Bloomfield defeated Rockville, 2-1.
Lindsey Tarro scored the only goal for Rockville.
Coach's comments - "Bloomfield played very direct and physical soccer. Rockville played with a lot of passion and creativity. They created many chances to score but struggled with finishing them. The game was physical, fast-paced and very enjoyable to watch. The referees had to frequently intervene, often making questionable calls.
"The Silver sisters, Sarah and Rachel, showed a lot f heart and skill dominating the middle of the field. Sarah Silver despite the young age (Freshman) is slowly becoming one of the crucial players on the team. At the end of the first half Shelby Barnes (G) made an incredible safe but took a hard hit to the face. Winona Scheff was forced to temporarily replace Shelby in goal when Bloomfield scored their second goal. Morgan Skoly put up an excellent performance displaying amazing ball skills, dribbling, an creating many scoring opportunities. She also assisted with Lindsey Tarro's goal."
Boys Soccer
It was Bloomfield 9, RHS 2 on Friday.
The Ram goals were scored by Trong Tran and Manane Adoyi.
RHS committed two fouls to Bloomfield's 18.
Coach's comments - "Despite the score, RHS boys continued to play hard for 80 minutes. Our offense was able to get 17 shots off, which is a huge accomplishment given Bloomfield's talent."
