That's just hot.

So if you want some relief, just take a look at the 2017 edition of the Old Farmer's. It's calling for some snow this winter.

Is that good news to some, at least from a snow sports perspective. David McClure, the owner of New England Ski & Scuba in Vernon, said it would be nice to go with the craziness of two winters ago with an epic snowfall rather than the uncertainty of of last winter.

And guess what, winter is not that far away, and all some resorts need is cold weather to make their own snow and the parade north up Interstate-91 will begin.

"With fewer than 100 days until the opening day of ski season, Okemo Mountain Resort is quickly working on expanding its snowmaking capabilities," Okemo Public Relations Director Bonnie MacPherson said. "And to think – it’s only been a couple of months since the last patch of snow in the superpipe melted. Okemo snowmakers are already dreaming sweet visions of snow drifts and, based on the long-range weather forecasts, getting ready for the parade of cars filled with skiers and snowboarders making their way north on I-91."
