Strong Family Farm Announces 8TH Annual Harvest Festival

FESTIVAL SEEKING SPONSORS, RAFFLE PRIZES, IN-KIND SERVICES, & VOLUNTEERS

Strong Family Farm is hosting its Annual Harvest Festival Saturday, October 22 on site at 274 West Street from 10:00am to 4:00pm. As our signature event, we anticipate our 8th Annual Harvest Festival to attract over 1,000 local and statewide visitors to the farm throughout the day.
Our fundraising goal of $5,000 will help us to attract more daily visitors to the farm, support the growth of our on-going programs, expand partnership outreach, and best of all, make the Harvest Festival the go-to ag-event of the season. We may be small, but we’re BIG on contributing to our communities!

Strong Family Farm is the last historical Family Farm in Vernon. The farm is a nonprofit whose mission is to give families and individuals of all ages and abilities agricultural education and experiences they cannot get anywhere else. As part of that mission, committed volunteers, led by our steering committee, work hard to make the Harvest Festival better every year.

WAYS TO SUPPORT
September and October, we are asking you, our community, to get involved. That can be any or all of the following:

• In-kind service- event videography, storefront or radio advertisements, etc.
• Sponsor- support activities, live music, a petting zoo and more!
• Volunteer-sign up for event set-up support on Friday, October 21 or during our event day!

FESTIVAL PROGRAM
Plenty of family fun and kids activities throughout the day!

• Petting Zoo- partnership with Aussikita Acres Farm
• Harvest Theme Games & Farm Experiences- antique tractors, a hay tunnel, and more!
• Food Trucks- stay for a while, rest on a bench, and enjoy good food too!
• Live Music-listen to the bluegrass twang from Still Pickin’ Band!
• Chicken Parade- say goodbye to the chickens we raised!
• Scarecrow Contest Winners- see the entries and celebrate with the entry winners!
• Country Farm Store- CLOSING DAY!
