Vernon Historical Society Collecting Items For Annual Book Sale

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Historical Society is started to collect items for its annual book sale. The sale is a major fundraiser for the society.

Donated books should be new or used in good condition, including children’s books. Books must be clean, odor-free and in sellable condition.

Also needed are Blu-Ray DVDs, DVDs, CDs and books on tape.

The society is requesting that no encyclopedias, VCR tapes, cassette tapes or records be dropped off.

The drop-off location is at the Vernon Historical Society, 734 Hartford Turnpike (Route 30). Drop-off hours are from 10 to noon and from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
