Vernon Obituary: Rev. Adolphe Renkiewicz

The clergyman was ordained for 59 years.

Rev. Adolphe T. Renkiewicz, 84, of Rockville, went to eternal rest on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.

Father Adolphe was born October 9, 1930 in Meriden to the late Adolph and Anna “Sally” (Duszlak) Renkiewicz. He graduated from St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield and attended St. Bernard Seminary in Rochester, NY. He was ordained on May 10, 1956.

Father Adolphe is survived by his nieces and nephews; Donna Legner and her husband, Robert, Thomas Ring, Robert Ring and his wife, Sharon, Sally Kalena and her husband, James, Laurie Daigle and partner Carol, Christine Briers and her husband, Steven and Aimee Gallagher; his two sisters-in-law, Barbara and Carole. Father is also survived by his caregivers, Philip and Jessica Pietras, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23 at the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel, 1315 Enfield St., Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24 at the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel. Burial will be held privately at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Saint Lawrence Seminary, 301 Church Street, Mt. Calvary, WI 53057 or the Felician Sister’s Retirement Fund, 1315 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
