Vernon Police: Drunken Driver Found Curled Up on Her Seat

VERNON, CT - Police patrolling Route 83 over the weekend found a car with a flat tire in the road.

And the driver curled up in a fetal position on the seat.

It was 2:50 in the morning on Saturday when police found the Hyundai Sonata running, but stopped along a center median, according to an arrest report. The car had a flat tire, police said.

The driver was nowhere to be found - until police came to the door. They then noticed Kayla Guilbault, 23, asleep in a fetal position in the driver's seat. She is from 5302 Claro Drive, Manchester, according to an arrest report.

Police had to knock on the car window loudly to wake her up, according to a police report.

She was charged with driving under the influence after police smelled alcohol on her and she failed a series of field sobriety tests, according to an arrest report.
