VERNON, CT — Vernon Mayor Daniel Champagne, municipal staffers and staff members of the local school system this week were presented with a check for $33,736 by the town's insurance carrier, the Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency.

CIRMA is a not-for-profit, member-owned provider of liability insurance and risk management services for Vernon and other Connecticut municipalities, school districts, and local public agencies. The check was presented to Vernon as its pro-rated share of CIRMA’s members' equity distribution for 2022.

"In Vernon, risk management is part of our culture," Champagne said. "The health and safety of our residents and staff is always our top priority."
