VERNON, CT — The Cornerstone Foundation has surpassed its monetary goal for Soupfest 2019, its signature fundraiser. The event was staged in November.

This year, the total raised was amazing $30,004. The goal for 2019 was $25,000, which organizers said was a "stretch goal" compared to the $20,452 raised in 2018.

"We are very grateful to the community who participated in Soupfest to support Cornerstone so generously," event chairman Thomas Stauffer said.
