Vernon's Trail Mural Ready For Next Round Of Refurbishment
Donations are being sought to keep the Vernon trail mural fresh.

VERNON, CT — Renewed efforts are afoot to keep the Vernon Rails-to-Trails mural refreshed.
The efforts are being undertaken by the Vernon Greenways Volunteers, a group often seen on the trails with rakes, shovels and bags to keep the trail system safe and looking good while working with the Vernon Parks and Recreation Department.
The mural is located where the trail system travels under Interstate-84 to the south of the 500 block of Route 30. It was first created in 2016 to solve a graffiti problem in the tunnel, but has since become a well-known and interesting feature for trail users.
