Woman Charged With Repeated Protective Order Violations in Vernon

She was arrested this week and the bond totals were hefty.

VERNON, CT — Repeated calls and social media messages to a person she was not supposed to be contacting has cost an East Hartford $40,000 in bonds and seven counts of violating a protective orders, an arrest warrant indicates.

Christine Kessler, 48, was charged on Tuesday of this week and assigned a court date of Aug. 29, according to a warrant.

A resident of Regan Street complained about the calls in April, two months after a non-contact protective order was issued against Kessler, according to a warrant.

In one instance, Kessler is accused of calling the victim four days in a row and he claims of "pocket dialing" were not valid, a warrant indicates. The warrant also outlines and extended exchange on a social media outlet.
