WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford Police are investigating another “disturbing” message that was posted on social media on Friday night, according to Superintendent of Schools Dr. Salvatore Menzo. The message was posted on Snapchat on Friday night. Earlier in the day, police announced the arrest of a 17-year-old student for posting an "alarming message" on Snapchat about Lyman Hall High School.

Police said that the student “expressed his annoyance with Lyman Hall High School" in the message. The student was arrested and charged with second-degree breach of peace. The subject of the latest incident wasn’t immediately disclosed.

“As is the case with the other student from earlier today, any student who is involved in this matter will not be allowed on school property, and administration will work with the Board of Education to ensure policy is followed and the matter is addressed in a serious and swift manner,” Menzo said in an email to parents on Friday night in regards to the latest incident. “I ask that all parents please discuss with their children the seriousness of making any threats or posting any disturbing pictures on the internet. All students and staff are entitled to a safe learning environment. Therefore, administration and the Wallingford Police Department will not tolerate such behavior. As more information that can be shared becomes available, I will inform families. We appreciate your support in this matter.”
