Family Loses Home In Fire, Wallingford Community Rallies Support
The community is rallying around a family after a fire destroyed their home this week in Wallingford.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The community is rallying around a family who lost their home in a fire Tuesday morning in Wallingford. Crews responded to the fire on Twin Oak Farm Road at about 8:35 a.m. on the report of a structure fire.
The first-arriving crews found the 1.5 story Cape Cod-style home well-involved in fire, according to fire officials. The fire was under control in 30 minutes and no injuries were reported, but the home was destroyed in the fire, officials said.
A GoFundMe campaign was launched Wednesday by Teresa Olson in support of the Augur family.

“Thankfully nobody was home, but the house was engulfed in flames and burnt down to the structure,” Olson wrote on the GoFundMe page. “Two cats are still missing and we are hoping they are found safe. Our hearts are heavy for them and I am reaching out to ask for any amount of money donation. Let’s work as a community to get these two loving people back on their feet.”
If anyone has any other donations they would like to offer, they can be dropped off at Calcagni Real Estate, located at 924 N. Main Street Ext. in Wallingford.
