Gas Station Added To Dunkin’ Plans At Former Restaurant Site In Wallingford: Report

WALLINGFORD, CT — Developers are proposing to add a gas station and convenience store to the previously approved plans for a drive-thru-only Dunkin’ at the site of the former Duchess Restaurant in the Yalesville section of Wallingford, according to the Hartford Business Journal.

Plans for the drive-thru-only Dunkin' at the 124 Church St. property were approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission in 2024. Duchess abruptly closed at the location in October 2022 after more than 35 years in business.

The Hartford Business Journal reports the developer is now proposing to demolish the existing building and build a gas station with approximately 4,500 square feet that would include the drive-thru Dunkin’ and a convenience store.

A public hearing on the proposal is scheduled for the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting on Oct. 14.
