Is it Too Soon To Make a Movie About the Newtown Shooting?
There are reports that a New York director is scouting locations in a Connecticut town to film a movie that may be about the tragic shooting in Sandy Hook on Dec. 14.

First, there was news this morning that a director, Jonathan Bucari, was scouting out locations in Ridgefield where he wanted to film a movie that would be about Newtown.
"Bucari says he selected Ridgefield as the location for his new movie about the Netwown shooting (on Dec. 14 that left 20 children and six adults dead) because it has the same look and feel as Newtown, and he didn't want to invade Newtown so soon after the tragedy," according to the television station, News12.
But the town hasn't replied kindly to this apparent news. When word got out that this movie shooting may be happening, this was what First Selectman Rudy Marconi had to say, according to Ridgefield Patch:

"Ridgefield will never agree. No way. The whole entire area is healing from that tragic event and this is wrong."
NBC Connecticut reported that Bucari's production company, Demian Productions, had a Facebook page that described the film:

The Facebook page for the film company, Demian Productions, stated the movie, "Illness." is about the tragic fate of Benjamin, a 13-year-old boy with a mental illness, and "the ever-growing fear of his parents after they learn about the shooting in Newtown in December 2012."
Whether the movie is directly about the Newtown, or it just references it, is it too soon to be making movies based on this tragedy that the state is still recovering from? Leave your comments below.
