• Big Lottery Prize Sold In Wallingford (patch.com) — Wallingford locals might want to check their tickets after a FAST PLAY Big Bankroll game sold at the Cumberland Farms on North Colony Road paid out a $50,000 prize. The Connecticut Lottery confirms the win but, under a newer state law, is not releasing the winner's name without written consent, keeping the lucky resident's identity private.
   

• Wallingford Police Blotter: July 15 Through July 25, 2026 (patch.com) — Wallingford police have released details of arrests made between July 15 and July 25, including several local residents charged with offenses ranging from DUI to assault and larceny. Those named were released on bonds or promises to appear, with court dates scheduled from late August through late September. Remember, these charges are not convictions and cases remain pending.
   

• CT Lottery Mega Millions, Lotto winning numbers for Aug. 18, 2026 (norwichbulletin.com) — If you play the lottery, Tuesday's winning numbers are in for Mega Millions, Lotto, Cash 5, Play 3, Play 4, and Millionaire for Life. Wallingford residents should note that the CT Lottery's claims department is based right in town on Sterling Drive, where larger prizes must be redeemed with proper ID and documentation.
