Season Ends For Lyman Hall, Sheehan Hockey Teams In Semifinals
The season came to an end for the Lyman Hall and Sheehan hockey teams in the CIAC Division II semifinals on Tuesday night.
WALLINGFORD, CT — The season came to an end for the Lyman Hall and Sheehan hockey teams in the CIAC Division II semifinals Tuesday night at the Edward L. Bennett Rink in West Haven.
Top-seeded North Haven shut out Sheehan 2-0 to advance to the championship game against No. 3 Wethersfield, which defeated Lyman Hall 6-3 earlier in the day.
Jared Anderson led the way for the Nighthawks (23-2) with 27 saves, while Owen Quick and Alex Peterson scored a goal apiece, according to the Record-Journal.

Sheehan sophomore made 21 saves for the fourth-seeded Titans, who finished with an 18-6 record.
“To echo the TitanPit's final chant, ‘Thank You Seniors!’,” Sheehan Athletics wrote in a post on Twitter after the game. “Best of luck to our fellow SCC member school North Haven in the finals.”

Shane Mazur scored three goals and his brother Ryan added two goals to lead Wethersfield past Lyman Hall in the first semifinal game, according to the Record-Journal.
Jimbo Cohrs, Daniel Pettit and Aydan Durant each scored a goal apiece for the second-seeded Titans, who finished with a 19-6 record.
“Definitely not the way we envisioned our season ending but this group has a lot to be proud of,” reads a post on the Lyman Hall Trojans Hockey Twitter page. “Congratulations to our class of seniors on their incredible careers! We cannot wait to see what the future holds for you all! Thanks for everything!!!!!”
