WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford man has pleaded guilty to charges in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that killed a North Haven woman while she was walking with her family last year, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Mark Rubino, 40, pleaded guilty last week in a plea deal that calls for a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, suspended after serving four years, followed by three years’ probation.

Rubino was arrested last July for the crash that killed Maureen Munzner, 57, on March 11, 2019. Munzner was walking with her two children on Ridge Road at about 5:30 p.m. on March 11 when she was struck by a car that fled the scene. She was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.
