Oakdale owner Live Nation requested special permit modifications to help resolve the ongoing dispute with the town.

The ongoing dispute between the town of Wallingford and the owners of the Oakdale Theatre has apparently come to an end with the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approving necessary modifications to Live Nation’s special permit and the cease-and-desist order will be lifted, the Meriden Record-Journal reports.

The Record-Journal reports that as a result of Monday night’s vote, the modifications will allow shows to be held in “The Dome”, the parking lot will be reconfigured to address VIP parking issues, the “no noise” condition will be removed and show curfews will be imposed.

Ever since the town issued the cease-and-desist letter was issued, fans of the Oakdale have rallied and shown their support to the music venue and an online petition and a Facebook page, both called Save the Oakdale, were launched.
