Wallingford Schools Win Class M Indoor Track Championships

Oh What A Night: Sheehan and Lyman Hall high schools both won state titles at the CIAC Class M Indoor Track Championships on Thursday.

WALLINGFORD, CT — It was a banner night for Wallingford at the CIAC Class M Indoor Track Championships at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven on Thursday with both high schools claiming championships.

Sheehan claimed the girls championship by edging Weston 68.75 to 63. It was the first-ever track state title for the Titans, who lost to Weston by a point-and-a-half last spring in the outdoor track season, according to the Record-Journal.

Sheehan Coach Dale Nosel told the New Haven Register that they used the loss in the outdoor season as motivation for the “meaningful win.”
