Wallingford Symphony Presents Holiday Concert

Features Kerry Holahan, Soprano and the United Girls' Choir on Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.

Kelly Holahan with be featured along with the United Girls Choir at the Wallingford Symphony’s Sunday, November 30, 2:00 concert. Holahan is one of the few American sopranos to be actively performing both Western Classical and Chinese music in the United States and China. She has lived in Beijing for eight years. While in China, she performed extensively as soprano soloist with various ensembles, most notably the China Central Opera House. The United Girls Choir, is Connecticut’s leading provider of choral ensembles for girls. Founded in 1993, the organization currently serves over 550 students from 40 towns and 150 schools throughout the state.

Phil Ventre will be leading the Wallingford Symphony Orchestra, a 45 professional member ensemble, as music director and conductor in his 40th season. The concert will include a combination of popular and classical, inspirational selections, including Back’s Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring and Leroy Anderson’s Christmas Festival.
