Wallingford Teen’s Cause Of Death Released: Report
The body of a 17-year-old boy who was reported missing last month was found in a lake Sunday in Wallingford.
WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford teenager’s death has been ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, according to the Connecticut Post. The body of 17-year-old Nolvin Diaz, of Wallingford, was found in Community Lake Sunday afternoon.
The Post reports that Diaz died of blunt force and sharp injuries to his head and neck. Two kayakers found Diaz’s partially submerged body in Community Lake around 1 p.m. on May 3, according to Lt. Cheryl Bradley.
Diaz was reported missing by relatives on April 25 and a Silver Alert was issued. They last saw him leaving the residence alone around 8 p.m. on April 23, according to Bradley. (To sign up for Wallingford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Bradley said Monday that Diaz’s death was being investigated as a homicide. Wallingford police are asking anyone who had contact with Diaz since April 23, or anyone who may have some helpful information, to call 203-294-2800.
