Wallingford Town Employee Accused of Selling Cocaine Out of His Home Remains on the Job
Town officials are closely monitoring the case.

The Wallingford Public Works Department employee arrested during a drug sting in Middletown for allegedly selling cocaine out of his home, remains in his position with the department but town officials tell the Meriden Record-Journal that they are “closely monitoring” the case.
Jeffrey Riccardi, 47, of Brown Street in Middletown, was arrested last week after police found 14 grams of cocaine, dozens of firearms, and $10,000 in cash. Police had been investigating Riccardi since April.

Wallingford Personnel Director Jim Hutt told the Record-Journal that the town has requested public documents related to the case and are waiting to see if there is a connection. He also said as of now there is no connection to the town that they are aware of.
Riccardi pleaded not guilty last week and is due back in court on Jan. 13.
