• Police make arrest in fatal shooting at Waterbury smoke shop (courant.com) — An arrest has been made after a man was fatally shot outside 7 Blessings Smoke Shop on East Main Street in Waterbury early Saturday morning. Police say 47-year-old Dannie Beverley was captured in New Haven and now faces murder and multiple weapons charges, with bond set at $2.5 million following his prior manslaughter conviction.

Waterbury's Auto Theft Task Force made the arrests Tuesday as part of an ongoing stolen vehicle investigation, highlighting continued enforcement around car thefts in city neighborhoods.
   

• Man charged in death of 11-year-old Jacqueline 'Mimi' Torres-Garcia facing new charge (wtnh.com) — A man previously charged in the death of 11-year-old Jacqueline "Mimi" Torres-Garcia, who was arrested in Waterbury last October, is now facing an additional attempted burglary charge tied to that same day. Investigators say new Ring camera footage and credit card evidence link him and another suspect to a Plainville car burglary and Middlefield break-in attempt.
