$50,000 Top Prize Lottery Scratch Ticket Sold In West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Tickets recently sold at two West Hartford establishments accounted for two large CT Lottery wins, including the top prize in a holiday-themed scratch game.

The top prize of $50,000 in the Merry Money game was cashed in by local player Paulette Butler on Dec. 7. according to CT Lottery officials. She purchased the ticket at the Stop & Shop supermarket at 176 Newington Road.

Merry Money is a $5 scratch-ticket game.

On Dec. 4, a $10,000 win in the Red Hot Riches game came off a ticket purchased at the On The Go Valero at 1 South St. Hartford resident Jose Figueroa was the big winner.

West Hartford had a hand in a third win. On Dec. 7, Cristian Montanez of West Hartford hit for $20,000 on a Mega Million ticket bought at Jv Wine And Spirits in Killingworth.
