"Diana has been a staple at Bugbee, greeting the youth with her warm smile and gentle demeanor."

As part of her retirement, the school hosted what's called a "crossing over" event to honor Coleman and, according to police, "it was hard to spot a dry eye in the crowd."

"Congratulations on your retirement Diana," wrote the WHPD. "The children, parents, and school staff will miss you dearly and we are forever grateful for your service to the town."
