Bicyclist Hospitalized After Fall, Spending All Night At Reservoir: West Hartford Police

The victim called 9-1-1 and reported that he suffered multiple injuries from the fall and had been there overnight.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A 34-year-old man was hospitalized with multiple injuries after falling off his bike and spending all night at a reservoir in West Hartford, according to police. West Hartford Police were dispatched to the MDC Reservoir #1, located at 1420 Farmington Avenue, shortly after 6 a.m. on Sept. 14 on the report of a medical emergency involving a man who fell off his bike.

The victim called 9-1-1 and reported that he had been there overnight and suffered multiple injuries from the fall, according to Lt. Michael Perruccio. (To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Officers found the victim’s vehicle in the parking lot. West Hartford Firefighters also responded and located the victim, who was lying in the grassy area on the "red loop," according to Perruccio.

Perruccio said the victim was found conscious and was “responsive to some of the Fire Medic's questions and had injuries to his face, jaw, right arm and legs.”

The victim was transported to Hartford Hospital via AMR ambulance.
