Crash Cleared On I-84 In West Hartford: UPDATE

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A serious crash on Interstate 84 in West Hartford Tuesday afternoon caused traffic woes for motorists, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

The DOT reports the crash was on I-84 East between exits 40 and 41, resulting in the closure of the left and center lanes of travel.

This, according to state officials, had caused a 2-mile traffic jam between exits 39A and 41 on I-84.

The accident was first reported at 2:47 p.m. and, after about an hour, it was cleared, according to the DOT.
