Update: West Hartford Road Reopened After Crash Probe
Motorists were being asked to find alternate routes Monday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A section of Route 44 in town (Albany Avenue) was closed early Monday afternoon as police investigated a motor vehicle accident there, but it has since been reopened.
According to the West Hartford Police Department's Twitter feed, the road was shut down in both directions near the reservoir entrance at Mountain Road on the West Hartford side of the roadway.
"Please be patient while the WHPD investigates and seek alternate travel routes in the area," the WHPD Tweeted after noon Monday.

By a little after 1 p.m., however, police reported the road had reopened.
