Department To Honor West Hartford Officers, Citizens During Police Week

WEST HARTFORD, CT - Each May, during Police Memorial Week, the West Hartford Police Department has a ceremony to honor those citizens and police officers who have distinguished themselves by acts of bravery or service to the community.

The ceremony will be held on Friday, May 19, at 8 a.m. in the Town Council Chambers at Town Hall. (To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Departmental Recognition Award – Presented to an individual whose cooperation has aided the department in the prevention of crime, the apprehension of criminals, or has performed a valuable service.
