Comfort Keepers is a leading provider of non-medical, in-home care, with over 650 independently owned and operated offices nationwide and internationally. Comfort Keepers has been serving seniors throughout the Greater Hartford, CT since 2003. Comfort Keepers helps to "keep" seniors in the "comfort" of their home by providing our clients assistance with the activities of daily living including companionship, homemaking, personal care, and local transportation. Comfort Keepers is honored to have received the Home Care Pulse “Best of Home Care” Awards for “Provider of Choice” and “Employer of Choice” in 2015, 2016 and 2017, based on independent and voluntary customer satisfaction survey results. Comfort Keepers is registered with the CT Dept. of Consumer Protection as a Homemaker Companion Agency # HCA.0000.563, as is required of all businesses providing in-home care in Connecticut. Our caregivers are employees of Comfort Keepers and are residents of our local community. Each employee caregiver is bonded, background checked, covered by worker's compensation and general liability insurance, and supervised by our staff Nurse/Client Care Coordinator. Comfort Keepers verifies employee eligibility to work in the U.S. and coordinates payroll, with all applicable taxes paid. Our Nurse/Client Care Coordinator participates in the assessment process and helps to develop the written plan of care, supervises the caregivers, and communicates with clients and families. Comfort Keepers caregivers receive orientation when beginning new assignments, in order to review the client's written plan of care.
