“Earlier this morning, members from Quint 4, Engine 1, and BC1 responded to a Rescue Alarm for a MVC/Rollover with wires down. On arrival, the Lieutenant on Quint 4 found one occupant was pinned inside the car, needing extrication. Members of Quint 4 and Engine 1 worked together to extricate the patient, utilizing the Holmatro rescue tools. Downed telephone poles and power lines added extra hazards, presenting a danger to both Firefighters and the patient thus making this extrication more difficult. The patient was transported by AMR and a West Hartford Firefighter/Paramedic.”
