Driver Hospitalized After Crash In West Hartford
Firefighters used the "Jaws of Life" to extricate the driver from the vehicle, according to fire officials.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A driver was hospitalized after a crash early Wednesday morning in West Hartford, according to fire officials. Firefighters used the “jaws of life” to extricate the driver from the vehicle.
“Members of Group 1 handled an early morning extrication,” the West Hartford firefighters union wrote in a post on Facebook. “Q4, E1 and BC3 were dispatch for an MVC with injuries. While en-route WHPD reported an occupant to be trapped. On arrival members worked together placing the ‘Jaws of Life’ in service. Patients were evaluated by West Hartford Firefighter/Paramedics and transported with the help of AMR. Good job by all agencies involved.”
