Put Away The Gas Pump, Learn About E-Vehicles In West Hartford

A showcase of electric vehicles and tools will take place at West Hartford Town Hall.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — If you're tired of pumping gas and would like, perhaps, a more environmentaly friendly means to move your vehicles, there's a local event to check out.

On Sunday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., West Hartford Town Hall is hosting a "West Hartford Drive Electric Event" outside in the parking lot, 50 S. Main St.

There owners of electric bicycles, cars and electric lawn equipment will set up and display their items and discuss what those electric-powered vehicles/tools have to offer.

It is being hosted by the West Hartford Clean Energy Commission, Sierra Club CT and PACE.

"Come and learn from experienced owners about how they work and why they are enthusiastic about them," reads a notice promoting the showcase.

The showcase event is free to the public and is designed to allow the public a sneak peak at alternative powered vehicles and tools.
