Gas Station Robbed At Gunpoint In West Hartford: Police

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Police are asking for assistance with identifying a man accused of robbing a Sunoco gas station at gunpoint Sunday in West Hartford.

Police say the suspect entered the store, located at 699 Farmington Avenue, at about 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 and handed the clerk a note demanding money. The suspect implied, and later brandished, a gun in his pocket, according to police.

The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash and was last seen running east bound on Farmington Avenue. A K-9 track was unsuccessful, police said.

The suspect is described by police as a black male in his late 40s to early 50s with a salt-and-pepper beard, bald, wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
