Go Treasure Hunting At WeHa Senior Center Flea Market
The Elmwood Senior Center is looking for both vendors and donations for its flea market on Sunday, Oct. 1.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Folks can usher in the month of October Sunday with a day of treasure hunting at the West Hartford Senior Center's flea market.
The event will take place outside on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the upper parking lot of the Elmwood Senior Center, 1106 New Britain Ave. (Entry is via Burgoyne Street).
So far, the weather forecast appears to be good, but should it rain, the rain date is Sunday, Oct. 15.

Meanwhile, event organizers are still looking for vendors to sell their wares.
"Sell your treasures, crafts or goods. This is a great location in the heart of Elmwood visible from busy New Britain Avenue," wrote event organizers.

There is a $20 fee to reserve a space to sell and the deadline to sign up is Thursday, Sept. 28.
Vendors will be able to choose a spot on a first-come, first-serve basis upon check-in on Sunday morning. Table and chairs are not provided.
In addition, on Friday, the senior center is accepting community donations for items to e sold at the flea market.
Vendors can call the Elmwood Senior Center for a reservation form and to reserve a space at 860-561-8180 or email WHSC@westhartfordct.gov.
Donations to the Elmwood Senior Center booth will be accepted beginning on Friday, Sept. 29. Call 860-561-8180 to donate your clothing, linens, housewares or small furnishings in good working condition (no rips or stains).
