HOTC To Donate Over $1,000 To West Hartford Police K-9 Program This Week

WEST HARTFORD, CT - Past and present members of the West Hartford Police K-9 Unit this week will accept a donation made to the West Hartford Police K-9 Unit Fund. The presentation will take place at the West Hartford Police Department (103 Raymond Road) at 2 p.m., according to a release.

Police said members of the Hartford Obedience Training Club (HOTC) recently contacted the department with interest in making a donation to the K-9 program. The club will be donating $1,500 toward the fund.

This is the second time the private dog training club has made a donation to the fund. (To sign up for West Hartford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Chief Gove, Detective Savastra, K-9 Officer Tommy Lazure and his K-9 partner, Jett, will be on hand to accept the donation. HOTC President Jack Petterson, lead trainer Lorrie Moule and board member Gina Montano will also be in attendance.
