Update: West Hartford Crash On I-84 Cleared

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Interstate 84 in West Hartford was congested following a two-vehicle wreck between exits 41 and 46, according to the state Department of Transportation.

But that crash was quickly cleared up, according to the DOT, which reported via Twitter that the accident, located just past Exit 22 at Caya Avenue, was cleaned up by 1:10 p.m. Friday.

DOT officials said that crash had caused a 1.3-mile backup in the eastbound lane of I-84 and the right shoulder is closed.

The accident was reported at 12:23 p.m.
