West Hartford BOE Named in Sexual Assault Lawsuit
The lawsuit claims the district allowed an autistic student to be bullied and sexually assaulted on middle school grounds.

A lawsuit was filed against the West Hartford Board of Education on Monday, claiming that the district allowed a 13-year-old autistic student at King Middle School to be bullied, sexually assaulted, and harassed by a fellow student on school grounds, according to NBC Connecticut.
NBC reports the lawsuit claims the student was sexually assaulted in the boys’ locker room in November of 2013, only one month after an incident occurred between the two students and the administration promised to separate them.
However, the lawsuit alleges that the boys were still allowed in the locker room unsupervised and the accused tried to sexually assault the victim for several weeks before finally doing so, according to NBC Connecticut.
