Lincoln Culinary Institute Students Accused of 'Car Shopping' in West Hartford
Two were arrested for stealing items out of unlocked cars, three others are under investigation.

Two students from the Lincoln Culinary Institute were charged, and three others are under investigation, after allegedly “car shopping” in West Hartford Center and stealing items from unlocked cars, according to the Hartford Courant.
The Courant reports the group took change, a laptop computer, a GPS device and other items from cars. Police were dispatched to the area of 1738 Boulevard at about 3 a.m. on Friday after receiving a report of a suspicious person entering a car.

Police spotted Duncan Chisholm, 19, walking around the area and when questioned, he changed his story several times, according to the Courant, before eventually taking officers to his car where they spotted a GPS unit and a portable DVD player in the back seat.
Chisholm told police that the group decided to go to West Hartford because it is less “ghetto” than Hartford, according to the Courant.

Chisholm and another student, Isaac Greco, 19, were arrested on several charges while three others are being investigated by police.
