That's because a summertime project between West Hartford Municipal Parking Services and the West Hartford Children's Library has resulted in town light pole banners featuring some distinct artwork done by children over the summer at the town's libraries.

The program is called "My Happy Place" and the artwork is a representation of just that, participating children's "happy place," where they're most comfortable.

The banners feature artwork created by children ages 5 to 12 at the town's three public libraries this summer.

For the next few months, the banners will decorate light poles along the street, providing a glimpse of what makes some of these youngsters tick.

So, take a walk while the weather cooperates. Look up. And, then, admire the children's artwork.
