Major Maintenance Begins At Busy WeHa Walkway

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A busy section of a prominent walkway in town is getting a much-needed facelift starting Tuesday, Oct. 31.

The Town of West Hartford's public works department said the stairway at Webster Walk is undergoing maintenance and work is expected to continue just before Thanksgiving.

As a result, only one side of the stairs will be utilized at a time for pedestrians, officials said.

Webster Walk, named for West Hartford native son Noah Webster, the founder of the American dictionary, is a walkway connecting the West Hartford Town Center, the Noah Webster statue and Blue Back Square.

It is located at approximately 20 S. Main St.
